About me.

I started my photographic career in the ‘70s’ in high school. Since then I have worked as an intern staff photographer for the Everett Herald, a volunteer photographer for the Everett Parks Department and a freelance photographer for a couple of publications in Snohomish County.

In 1989 I moved to Ohio to attend Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. There I studied under several renowned and accomplished photographers.

One photographer I admire the most is 20th century French artist and photographer Henryi Cartier-Bresson. During his career as a “street photographer” he coined the phrase “The Decisive Moment” “This is the exact moment when a photographer captures a unique event or fleeting moment in a photograph. It's the moment when all the elements in the frame come together in perfect harmony”. Most photographers consider him the father of modern photojournalism.

For the past 30+ years I have worked as a graphic designer, website designer, and photographer for several publications in Central and Southeast Ohio.
